Do's and Dont's in case of lost data

Hi friends,
This is Manish from Stellar information , Pune. I want to share some information to protect your data after crash.
Now in the world of technology, We have to keep updated ourself. And we have to preserve the data. What will you do if your data storage media got crashed? Generally, we call our engineer ot Hardware Vendor for the solution. If he has knowlede of recovery or good technical awareness then it's fine else you loose you data due to overwritten or scratches on the platter.
There are some precautions you can take before giving it to your vendor.

Do's and Dont's in Case of Hard Disk Crash

  • Check all the connections of the media (power and data connections).
  • If this fails, try connecting the same media on another working machine.
  • If the above measure also fails, confirm whether the controller card is Ok.
  • If every above given effort fails, immediately stop working on the media and contact us.
What NOT to do When a Crash Occurs
  • Don't run any repair utility because these utilities can further aggravate the problem. These utilities are made to rectify any anomalies in the file system & get you working and not to recover your data.
  • Don't let anybody, even your support engineer, experiment with the media.
  • Don't work on the media. It will overwrite the data.

Always take help of the expert. One of the expert in India is Stellar Information systems Ltd. They have CLASS 100 Clean room facility to recover the data. Visit www.stellarinfo.com

Thanks and Regards,

Gautam Manish
